About Jack Jack Rugile

I was born in New York, but grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado. Most of my childhood consisted of snowboarding and messing around on my computer. I usually would just play games or browse the internet. However, my interest shifted toward music when I started playing drums in the 5th grade. That became my number one passion.

In high school, I learned how to play the guitar as well. It became my primary instrument. I played in many bands throughout school and won a few battle of the bands. Since music was my biggest priority when I finished high school, I decided to attend the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA with some band mates and friends.

I studied there for eight months, but left before I received my degree. Music school was not right for me. I knew I would always love to play music, but it was clear that it would not be my career. After working a summer in the L.A. area, I moved in with some friends in Portland. It was a fun few months and I enjoyed the city, but I really just wanted to return home to the mountains.

I was a waiter for a few months in my hometown and spent a lot of time playing music with a good friend of mine. I felt the urge to change something in my life though, so I moved to Denver to attempt to get into the music recording program at CU Denver. Unfortunately, I did not get in. However, most of my family was living in Denver at the time so I decided to stick around. Around this time, I met my girlfriend, Kristen, with whom I am still dating today.

I don’t remember what it was that sparked my interest, but something in me became curious about how to make a website. I began doing some research online about HTML and was instantly hooked. Each night I would read multiple articles about web design and try to make my own test pages with what I learned. Over the last two years it has become my primary interest and I have decided to make it into a career. I can’t wait to see where it will take me!
